A Miracle in the Making: How God Moved for Missionaries Andrew & Natalie Koch
At Loving Hands For You, we believe that when God places a burden on the heart, it’s because someone, somewhere, is in need—and He is preparing us to respond. That’s exactly what happened with Andrew and Natalie Koch, missionaries who recently walked through one of the most difficult and faith-building seasons of their lives.
Baby Elizabeth: A Warrior From Day One
On December 11, 2024, the Kochs welcomed their beautiful daughter, Elizabeth Lauren, into the world—8 lbs 5 oz and 21.5 inches of perfection. But shortly after her birth, the doctors discovered she was born with esophageal atresia, a rare condition where her esophagus didn’t connect properly to her stomach. This meant immediate surgery—and a wave of uncertainty.
The Kochs shared the heartbreaking news online, asking for prayers and support. Complications followed the first surgery attempt, but just days later, the doctors were able to successfully connect her esophagus naturally. It was the best possible outcome—and an undeniable miracle.
“Her doctor says she is a miracle... Her heart, kidneys, and lungs have all been doing great. They are so impressed with how well she is recovering.”

A Nudge from the Holy Spirit
When one of our Loving Hands team members saw the Kochs’ post, the Holy Spirit stirred something deep. The burden to help them was immediate.
“I told Jill that morning—I feel we need to give them $500. I didn’t have it, but I believed God would provide.”
That same night, a donation of exactly $500 was given to Loving Hands For You—no note, no request, just a gift. We knew in our spirit: this was for the Kochs. God had provided the need before we even spoke it out loud.
Faith, Family, and the Field
Due to baby Elizabeth’s condition and recovery needs, the doctors recommended no travel for at least three months. Meanwhile, the family’s mission funds were nearly depleted from extended hospital stays and pregnancy-related medical bills.
“Even under heavy sedation, she fought to stay awake when she heard Mommy and Daddy’s voice... She is so strong.”
Though the Kochs didn’t ask for much, they shared their continued need to stay on the field a little longer and invited people to support their mission fund. By God’s grace, Loving Hands For You was able to send the $500 just when they needed it most—a small reminder that God sees, He provides, and He works through willing hearts.
Baby Elizabeth is recovering miraculously. And through it all, the Kochs have remained faithful, giving glory to God and continuing their call to missions.
